How ironic is it: you can be found on first page for "make money online" and john chow is probably on the fourth !!!

Does it have to do with the recent penalties Google is imposing on websites ?

I read JohnChow regularly. But it seems that recently he is in trouble with his SEO efforts. For the term "john chow" his blog is missing from SERPs. Hope his blog recovers soon.

Nice Review, I've only been reading John's site on and off for a couple of months, but one thing that I also noticed was the amount of paid reviews, which can be a turn off for some.

Nice design by the way, will be simple and clean, makes navigating and reading posts a pleasure.

The bad thing about most of the bloggers I've seen that hang around JohnChow.com is that they have a complete rip-off of his site for their own blog. Worse yet, they try to blog about either a) making money online (unoriginal) or b) rehash other ideas without even putting their own spin on the subject.

Don't get me wrong, he's got great content and some great and some questionable (pinging technorati thousands of times) tactics. I like to cherry pick his best ideas and incorporate them here with my own flavor.

Best of luck to both of us. I'd be happy to make even just 10% of what he made last month. :)

You're right, the comment spammers (all manual too!) floating around John's site are damn annoying. All the same, you have to tip your hat to John. He knows how to get ranked and he knows how to keep people coming back. I just wish I was taking the kind of cash that John is from blogging. :(
